Australia France Foundation Grant Conditions
- The money constituting the grant shall be used only for carrying out the approved project in respect of which the grant has been awarded.
- The approved project shall not be undertaken or carried out by anybody or person other than the grant recipient without prior approval of the director, AFF.
- The grant recipient shall notify the Director of any alternative or additional source of funding in respect of the approved project, whether the additional funding becomes available before or after the award of the grant.
- No major changes in the approved project or in the allocation of moneys between items comprising the approved project shall be made without the approval of the Director having first been obtained.
- The grant may be terminated at any time if, in the opinion of the AFF, the grant recipient has not complied with any provision in these conditions.
- The grant will usually be payable only 2-4 weeks before the commencement of the project or visit.
- If the commencement of the approved project is delayed for any reason, an application for a postponement of the stated date shall be made in writing to the Director.
- The grant is valid for the financial year in which it has been awarded, only under exceptional circumstances will a grant be held over to the following year. The grant recipient must refund the award to the AFF as soon as it is clear that the project, visit or exchange will not take place in the year for which the grant is valid.
- The support of the AFF must be acknowledged where a grant is awarded for any purpose including exhibitions, publications, conferences etc.
- Upon termination of a grant under a condition of any kind, moneys that have not been expended according to the guidelines for the conditions of the grant shall be refunded to the AFF.
- The AFF is not in a position to provide funds for expenses other than those specified in the grant approval. The applicant must arrange separate funding for all costs other than those for which the AFF has specifically accepted responsibility.
- In addition the applicant should ensure that he/she can and will obtain the following:
* an appropriate visa (where appropriate)
* medical and hospital cover
* any necessary insurance for equipment, exhibitions etc.
Aquittal - Within one month after completion of the project the grant recipient shall provide to the Director, a written report and supporting evidence of:
- income and expenditure by way of a detailed statement, attaching used airline tickets (if applicable) and receipts wherever possible;
- copies of all publicity and media coverage specifically related to the project to enable us to assess the benefit for Australia, including the projection of a positive image of Australia internationally;
- an analysis of the effectiveness of the project, including in terms of creating/developing links between individuals and organisations in a particular field;
- recommendations on follow-up activity and identification of future promotional opportunities.
