CERTIFICATE OF EVIDENCE OF AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any Australian citizen can apply for documentary evidence of their Australian citizenship.
You may be an Australian citizen if you were:
- Born in Australia
- Adopted in Australia after 22 November 1984
- Born in Papua before 16 September 1975
- Born Outside of Australia before 26 January 1949 to an Australian father

Please note: All documents submitted with your application must be originals or copies certified at an Australian Embassy or Australian Consulate General.
