Useful Information for Travel Agencies
July - September 07 - Changes to ETAS (Electronic Travel Authority System)
There will be some changes to the processing of ETA applications, specifically the way in which checks are performed on applications prior to decisions being made. These changes will gradually take effect from September 2007.
Download the ETA Operating Manual
As of 1 November 2005, all travel agents are now required to enter the date, country and place of issue of their client’s passport in the ETA system. If you are an Amadeus user, please retype the first letter of "T" of TIETAG, "P" of PASSPORT ISSUE DETAILS and "I" of ISSUING AUTHORITY/PLACE OF ISSUE before entering the details requested - the date and country code and the town or place of passport issue as stated on the passport.
For all system users, if you receive an error message, please send us your details and a copy of the ETA screen by email or by fax to 01 40 59 35 38 so that we can send you the new procedure for entering the data.
If you receive the message "Refer Applicant to Embassy", please email us a clear copy of the client's passport and a copy of the ETA screen. You can also fax this to 01 40 59 35 38. We will respond within 2 working days, or sooner for more urgent cases.
Please note you can always verify if an ETA has been correctly issued through the TIETAC function. The message "OK to board" means the ETA has been granted.
Contact us by fax (01 40 59 35 38) or by email for further information on visas for Australia.
