On the day of your appointment, remember to bring your printed form, biometric photos and all other required additional documents with you.

Children aged 16-17 are not eligible for postal renewals as they will need to apply for their first adult passport in-person.

Emergency Passports

Emergency Passports are issued to Australian citizens to meet immediate travel needs when they cannot wait up to 6 weeks for the issue of a full validity passport, which are printed in Australia.

Emergency passports need at least 24hrs to print. If you need to travel within the next 48 hours, please contact the Australian Embassy Paris immediately.

There are restrictions on using them in some countries. We advise you check with your destination country ahead of time to see if they will accept your emergency passport.

You can also apply for a full-validity passport at the same time as you apply for an Emergency Passport and receive the full-validity passport when you return home.
